CubWallet does not sell your data. CubWallet does not show ads. No external tracking services are used. Your family's information stays private.

1. Who We Are

CubWallet is a family finance education app that helps parents teach children about earning, saving, spending, and giving. It is published as an independent iOS app. Contact us at support@cubwallet.app for any privacy concerns.

2. Who Can Create an Account

Only adults aged 18 or older may create a CubWallet account. Account creation requires confirming that you are a parent or legal guardian, that you consent on behalf of your children, and that you agree to our Terms of Service. Children never create their own accounts — they access the app only through a numeric PIN set by the parent.

3. What We Collect

From parents (account holders):

  • Email address and password — to create and secure your account
  • Your name — used to personalize the dashboard
  • A 4-digit parent PIN — stored locally on your device, encoded if synced to cloud
  • Subscription status — to manage app access
  • Parental consent timestamp — recorded when you agree during account setup

From children's profiles (entered by the parent):

  • Child's first name and avatar/emoji
  • Child's age (computed from birthday) — birthday is stored locally but never uploaded to the cloud
  • A 4-digit child PIN — stored locally, encoded if synced, never in plaintext
  • Financial ledger data: balances, chore history, grade history, wish list, savings goals, badges, XP

⚠️ CubWallet tracks educational/fictional money only. No real financial account data is ever collected.

4. What We Do NOT Collect

  • Children's exact birth dates in the cloud (only ages)
  • Real banking, payment, or financial account information
  • Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IDFA
  • Location data of any kind
  • Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data
  • Behavioral analytics, heatmaps, or session recordings
  • Any data shared with or sold to advertisers or data brokers
  • Data from any third-party tracking service

5. Children's Privacy — COPPA Compliance

CubWallet complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  • Children do not create accounts. A parent creates the family account and adds children as profiles.
  • No direct data collection from children. Children interact only via PIN. All child data is entered exclusively by the parent.
  • Verified parental consent. Before any child profile can be created, the account holder must confirm they are 18+, that they are the parent/guardian, and authorize collection of children's profile data.
  • Birthdays stay local. A child's exact birthday is stored on your device to calculate age. It is never transmitted to our servers.
  • No third-party data sharing. Child data is never shared with advertisers, analytics services, or any third party.
  • No external requests. The app uses system fonts only — no requests to Google, Facebook, or any external service are made during normal app use.

If you believe a child's data has been collected without parental consent, contact support@cubwallet.app immediately and we will delete it promptly.

6. How We Use Your Data

  • To operate CubWallet and provide its educational features
  • To sync family data across devices when cloud sync is enabled
  • To manage subscription status and verify app access
  • To send password reset emails when requested
  • To respond to support requests
  • To maintain a record of parental consent for COPPA compliance

7. Cloud Storage & Third Parties

When cloud sync is enabled, your family data is stored using Supabase (supabase.com), a US-based cloud database provider with Row Level Security — only your authenticated account can read or write your data.

Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple via In-App Purchase. CubWallet never sees your payment information.

No other third-party services are used — no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, no tracking tools, no external fonts or scripts.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Local device data: Deleted immediately via Settings → Clear All Data
  • Cloud data: Deleted within 30 days upon verified request to support@cubwallet.app
  • Subscription records: Retained up to 90 days for financial record-keeping, then permanently deleted

9. Your Rights

As the account holder and parent, you may at any time: access all data stored by CubWallet, correct any data within the app, delete all local data via Settings, request deletion of all cloud data by emailing us, or request a portable copy of your data. EU users have additional rights under GDPR. Contact support@cubwallet.app — we respond within 30 days.

10. Security

  • PIN brute-force protection (5 failed attempts → lockout)
  • Auth tokens with automatic expiry and refresh
  • Row Level Security on all database tables
  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all network requests
  • Passwords hashed via bcrypt — never stored in plaintext
  • Birthdays never transmitted to the cloud
  • No external scripts or fonts that could track users

By downloading or using CubWallet, you agree to these terms. Please read them before creating an account.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms govern your use of the CubWallet iOS application. By creating an account or using CubWallet, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to create a CubWallet account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements. Children use CubWallet only through a parent-created family account with a PIN, and do not enter into any agreement with CubWallet directly.

3. CubWallet is an Educational Ledger App

CubWallet does not handle, hold, transfer, or process real money. CubWallet is a financial education tool that tracks fictional balances to help families teach children about earning, saving, spending, and giving.

  • No real money is deposited into or withdrawn from CubWallet
  • CubWallet is not a bank, payment processor, money transmitter, or financial institution
  • The "Invest" bucket is an educational concept, not investment advice or actual securities investment
  • Parents are solely responsible for any real-world money provided to children based on app balances

4. Subscription & Payment

CubWallet offers a 7-day free trial followed by an auto-renewable subscription at $12.99/year.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID after the free trial ends
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → CubWallet
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by law
  • All billing is handled by Apple — CubWallet never processes or stores payment information

5. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your password and your children's PINs. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@cubwallet.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use CubWallet for any commercial purpose, attempt to bypass or circumvent any security feature, reverse engineer or decompile the app, use the app in any way that violates applicable law, or enter false or harmful content.

7. Privacy

Your use of CubWallet is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

CubWallet and all content within it are the property of CubWallet and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, family use only.

9. Disclaimers

CubWallet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CubWallet does not provide financial, legal, or investment advice. The content in the app is for educational purposes only. Consult a qualified professional for real financial decisions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CubWallet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may terminate by deleting the app and emailing support@cubwallet.app to request data deletion.

Does CubWallet handle real money? ▾
No. CubWallet is a ledger app — it tracks educational balances only. No real money moves through the app. When your child wants to spend their balance, you hand them cash or make a bank transfer yourself. You're the bank. CubWallet keeps the score.
How do kids log in? ▾
Each child gets a private 4-digit PIN set by the parent. They tap their name on the login screen and enter their PIN. Siblings can't access each other's dashboards. Children never create their own accounts or provide any personal information.
Can multiple family members use it on different devices? ▾
Yes! When you sign in with your account, CubWallet syncs your family data to the cloud so everyone sees the same live balances. You can use it on your phone, your partner's phone, a tablet, or any iOS device. Just sign in with the same account.
How do I cancel my subscription? ▾
Go to iPhone Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → CubWallet → Cancel Subscription. You can cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
Is CubWallet safe for kids? COPPA compliant? ▾
Yes. CubWallet is fully COPPA-compliant. Children never create accounts, never provide personal information, and never interact with external services. All child data is entered by the parent. We collect no advertising data, run no ads, and never sell data. Children's exact birthdays are never uploaded to the cloud — only their computed age.
What's the difference between young kid and teen mode? ▾
CubWallet automatically shows a bright, playful dashboard for kids 10 and under, and a sleek dark design for teens 11 and over. Each child can also pick their own color theme — 8 bright options for younger kids, 8 darker options for teens.
How do I delete my account and all data? ▾
To delete local data: Settings → Data & Storage → Clear All Data & Start Over. To delete all cloud data: email support@cubwallet.app with the subject "Delete My Account" — we'll delete everything within 30 days as required by law.
What happens to my data if I stop subscribing? ▾
Your data is still accessible locally on your device. Cloud sync is paused but your family's history stays on your phone. If you resubscribe, everything picks up where it left off. We don't delete your data just because your subscription lapses.
